A bit of a departure for Candice Christian, a story set on another world, where vampire like creatures, the Locmohr act as protectors of the peasant population, the Yoles.

The payment for the aid is a periodic female sacrifice . Soren, a Locmohr vampire, is bewitched by Lia, his current sacrifice and the relationship grows beyond predator and prey.
