Madam Elsbeth visits Kaitlyn, a struggling PI, promising to find Kaitlyn’s daughter if she will help Elsbeth in this dystopian steampunk world.

The world is a dystopian police state where sex has been outlawed and steam powered horses are ridden by steam powered police robots. Kaitlyn is a struggling private detective and is visited by Elsbeth, a mysterious woman member of the high council close to closing time on New Year's Eve. She needs Kaitlyn to help her with a special problem concerning the high council and she will help her find her missing daughter Amelia.

Kaitlyn agrees and is told to wait for a person to contact her and go wherever he takes her and then report back to Elsbeth. Handing Kaitlyn an envelope with further instructions to be read after her mission is complete she leaves Kaitlyn alone on the docks. Shortly her contact arrives and whisks her to his private hideaway in an airship. When they get to their destination he introduces Kaitlyn to all manner of debauched and depraved situations while she is in his place.

The things that she experiences have been outlawed for years in this dystopian world, which makes it that much more erotic. When Daniel is finished with Kaitlyn’s entertainment he falls asleep on the floor. Kaitlyn opens the envelope Elsbeth gave her and learns she has an airship waiting for her just outside the building she is in. The airship takes Kaitlyn to a new destination which is back to the woman who hired her. Thinking she would find her daughter waiting for her but Elsbeth crosses her up and leads her into more peril in the search for her daughter.
