 TOUCHED

                                                                            NOW ON SMASHWORDS

Margot Roberts inherited an unusual gift from her grandmother soon after turning 18; the talent to seduce others with a mere touch of her hand to their neck.

Margot has acquired an unusual power that soon becomes a mixed blessing. It is nothing she can control; it always comes at times when she is alone with another girl or boy. The catalyst is through tactile stimulation by her hand on the cheek of another person. After the touch, the victim submits to Margot's will.

The use of this ability becomes addictive to Margot and she ends up using it indiscriminately causing backlash from her victims. Some react furiously at her actions, others sulk and feel confused, still, others find her to be irresistible, and none of those feelings dissipate over time, leaving Margot to deal with a host of angry, jilted, or obsessive lovers. Margot accidentally discovers she has inherited a mysterious genetic trait passed on from mother to daughter when she is told by her grandmother.

The mysterious power is seen as a curse by her grandmother and she advises Margot to avoid using it at all cost or to wipe the memories of her victims. In telling her this she relates to Margot how another girl got revenge on her that left her keeping it a secret and do her best to find a special someone to share it with for the rest of her life. Otherwise, she will always be looking over her shoulder in fear.
