PAST REGRETS

Stephanie Fredrick is making her way across the bridge into Ohio when her car crashes into the bridge causing a series of her past regrets to flash before her eyes.

Stephanie Fredrick is in her sixties. Every morning she commutes across the Ohio river to her job. But on this morning she is going a little too fast, and the bridge much slipperier than usual; all culminating in a horrific crash over the side of the bridge and soon plunging into the river below.

Unlike the familiar saying about your life passing in front of your eyes just before death, Steph is faced with all the regrets she has about her life. All the things she would have done differently if given the chance. All of her regrets focus on her abject failure in romance, knowing the failure was her own doing.

While suspended in time, death just over the horizon, Steph is given a chance to relive the nagging regrets and then an opportunity to rectify them and see how they would have turned out had she been less timid, less inhibited, and more open to romance when it presented itself.
