Sarah Sparrow is one such refuge from a fallen galactic empire in search of a safe haven. Her family leaves their home galaxy and moves to a world of safety several light-years away. The galaxy they find has a particular solar system in that galaxy with a yellow sun that mirrors the homeworld they had to abandon.

Sarah's life improves and after completing her schooling she took a position in the corporate world and did quite well. She moved swiftly up the corporate ladder and success gave her time to develop a very vigorous social life. During that time Sarah met Charysel or Chary a wealthy socialite and an alien and lesbian like Sarah. Chary, though truly in love with Sarah, keep a lot of her past life a secret from her lover.

Their lesbian love affair evolves into a classic D/s sexual relationship. Chary over time reveals more of her past to Sarah until one of her claims is so outlandish Sarah believes the girl is both a liar and a fraud and their relationship cools. But love conquers all and the two reconcile, Chary convinces Sarah her claims are true and finally pleads with her to join her strange world.
