Jordan is a fifty-three-year-old woman, who is abducted from her bedroom into an alien ship. She is subjected to a series of tests and internal examinations until her abductors decide she will need to be adjusted to serve their needs better. They turn back her biological clock to that of a twenty-year-old woman.

The aliens then send Jordan back in time to relive a moment with two of her friends. During her time in the past, the aliens expect her and her friends to produce certain fluids that the aliens need for survival. The aliens are unable to generate the substance in their world. The aliens have monitored Jordan for a long time and know that one time she and her friends were capable of producing large quantities of the substance they so badly needed.

Once Jordan arrives in the past she finds herself sleeping in a van with her long-ago friend Morgan and they are about to relive a road trip the two young girls had in the eighties. She realizes the aliens are aware of what happened on that road trip and all the wild lesbian adventures they had. Once she discovers where and when she is, the aliens cause the memory to fade and it will be like Jordan is experiencing this for the first time.

The world she finds is a Steampunk lover’s dream. The current civilization is tribal in nature, and in some ways,  mirrors a lot of ancient Greek mythology. The society is run by females, a nod to the Amazons of legend. But surprisingly, the inhabitants enjoy most of the twenty-first century conveniences including air travel, which is used in warfare in this future time. All this is due to the clever use of steam power and gears.

Shay accidentally comes across a young person caught in an air raid and rushes to their rescue. Afterward, Shay learns the young person is a princess,  Princess Diire and her mother is the queen, Queen Weena,  of one of the villages in the region. Shay is invited back to the village to meet the tribal leaders and relate her story of life in the twenty-first century. Her stay in the village exposes Shay to several cultural eccentricities, which Shay accepts without question.

The bad guys were aware of the technology and concocted a plan to use the technology against the cops.  

The plot was devised by the biggest crime family led by "Morsa" Cortez and so devious was the plot they had made it appear that Vicki and Larry had doctored evidence and had video to prove it. The shocking development soon had Vicki deskbound and Larry in hiding. The only option available to the crime unit was to call in the inventor of the technology to find Larry and find a way to clear his name and Vicki’s.
